As a school we understand that children may require intensive therapy to support their individual developmental needs and families may be unable to access external services outside of school hours due to work commitments.
We are committed to creating a supportive environment where students can access therapy sessions when necessary. The Department has clear guidelines on how schools should approach this, and we are required to uphold these policies. We appreciate families’ and provider’s understanding of our position.
Please note: To ensure we meet our duty of care requirements, all visiting therapists must be under direct line of sight of a classroom teacher. We cannot offer access to a private room.
