Our school zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

2027 Foundation (Prep) enrolments

Dear Prospective Families,

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at Drouin West Primary School.

Our school uses the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents. This means you can submit your Foundation (Prep) application online and receive updates through the system. If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school.

To get started

Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ sign in with a Service Victoria account to complete the online application form by Friday 31 July 2026. If you would prefer to submit a paper application form, please contact us.
We will then review the information submitted and be in contact with you between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026 (for applications submitted by the due date of 31 July 2026).
You should accept one enrolment offer by Friday 28 August 2026. When accepting an offer, you will be required to provide additional personal and health information that will be shared with the school.

Is VicStudents secure?

VicStudents has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security.

For parents/carers (existing users prior to Term 2 2026)
When you click the VicStudents link, you will be directed to sign in using a Service Victoria account. This Service Victoria account gives you one secure login for government services. If you already have a Service Victoria account, sign in using your existing details. If not, you’ll be guided to create one. To access any existing VicStudents applications, make sure you use the same email address.

For parents/carers (new users Term 2 2026 and beyond)
When you click the VicStudents link, you will be directed to sign in using a Service Victoria account. Once you have signed in, your VicStudents account will be created automatically. If you don’t have a Service Victoria account, you’ll be guided to create one.

School Tours

We run periodic tours of the school for prospective parents to learn about Drouin West and see the facilities and teaching in person. The school tours are run by a member of our Leadership team. All tours start in the Administration office at the school.

Tours are caped at 4 families at a time. Please contact the office to book. Contact Us

Required Documents

Completed enrolment form
Evidence of identity and date of birth (for example, a birth certificate or passport)
Immunisation Status Certificate
Proof of residential address (if within school boundary)

You will also be required to provide information about:

your contact details
emergency contact details
health information about your child (such as allergies or illnesses they need to manage)
other legal orders relating to your child and their welfare (if any)

Transferring from another school?

We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.

Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.
